From May 17th to 18th, the Firefighters and Healthcare Staff training takes place in Ibiza—a 21-hour course with requested CFC accreditation for healthcare personnel. You can still sign up (we have exactly 3 spots remaining) if you are a healthcare professional (Physicians, Nurses, EMTs) or belong to the fire department, forest ranger services, etc. The training includes accommodation, meals, and transfers to/from Ibiza Airport. Registering is very simple: click here to secure one of the last 3 spots, or call us at +34 971 090 173 if you have any questions.
What will you learn?
You will learn the joint response protocol for mixed healthcare care between Firefighters and medical staff, enabling teams to locate and reach one or more victims in an emergency setting safely and effectively.
You will learn how to act based on the aforementioned protocol upon isolated arrival of each professional detachment, or upon meeting/guidance by a firefighter team to guarantee safety, carrying out emergency tasks and medical care with security measures for arrival, scene presence, and evacuation in Firefighter-Healthcare coordination.
You will learn to fulfill your role for joint medical resolution of emergency situations through theoretical workshops and practical sessions where both professionals in mixed Firefighter-Healthcare teams must make consensus decisions.
You will learn stress management, anti-stress techniques, and how to overcome tunnel vision.
You will learn advanced trauma life support and immediate care by first responders.
You will discover inherent risks at accident scenes.
You will learn extrication techniques using light tools.
You will learn airway management as well as patient immobilization and mobilization.
You will learn to execute your role in traffic accidents, fires, and structural collapses.
You will learn to make consensus decisions, resolving diverse scenarios presented during a timed 5-km physical test for mixed Firefighter-Healthcare teams.
You will learn to safeguard the lives of team members while attending to individuals in life-threatening danger as rapidly as possible.
You will enjoy learning all of the above in high-stress day and night emergency scenarios.
If you don’t take advantage of this opportunity, you won’t be able to train with us in Ibiza until the 2020 edition. Are you really willing to wait a whole year?
