We bring two weeks of immersive training to a close with a very special closing ceremony featuring Elsa Punset’s lecture “Proposals for living in these extraordinary times” at the Jesús Cultural Center, in Ibiza.

With this closing event, we wrap up a new edition of the Forum, reaffirming the purpose with which we launched this initiative seven years ago: transforming Ibiza into a benchmark location for training, reflection, and improving responses to emergencies and social issues.

During her presentation, Elsa Punset highlighted the value of society’s essential caregiving forces, placing front and center the work of those who care for, accompany, protect, and intervene in complex, emotionally demanding environments.

Her message delivered a deeply necessary reflection: the importance of caring for those who care for others. Throughout the lecture, she shared practical ideas and tools concerning mental health, stress management, adapting to change, resilience, and the human capacity to collaborate and support one another.

During the closing event, we had the honor of welcoming Juan Carlos Roselló, Councilor for Public Safety of the Santa Eulària des Riu Town Council, and Carolina Escandell, Regional Minister of Social Welfare, Family, and Equality of the Consell d’Eivissa, who both participated in the official closing of the event.

We were also joined by other institutional representatives and professionals associated with emergency services, public safety, and social welfare, reinforcing the value of this forum as a meeting place for institutions, professionals, and organizations committed to the common good.

The session was hosted by journalist and CEO of Imam Comunicación, Montse Monsalve, and included a brief presentation by Tamara Domínguez, founder of DBalance Ibiza, who led a practical session focused on body awareness and physical self-care during times of crisis.

The grand finale to two weeks of immersive training

This ceremony brought to a close two weeks of intensive educational activity within the 7th National Forum on Emergencies and Social Issues, which kicked off on March 3rd.

In this seventh edition, we conducted three specialized courses based on hyper-realistic simulations, complex scenarios, controlled emotional load, and experiential learning, alongside a teaching staff comprised of leading professionals.

The training programs featured in this edition were:

  • DAY & NIGHT DRUGS 360°, focused on intervention in cases of acute intoxication, drug-facilitated sexual assault, and medical conditions arising from substance abuse.

  • CPAH: Control of Agitated/Aggressive Persons in Hostile Environments, focused on preventing violent incidents and improving community coexistence through early detection techniques, de-escalation, operational communication, and safe containment.

  • IMACC: Multidisciplinary Accident Response, aimed at optimizing the response to complex accidents and incidents, reducing mortality and long-term sequelae while improving victim care.

An intimate moment during the book signing session

At the conclusion of the event, attendees enjoyed a special moment with a book signing for Alas para volar (Wings to Fly), Elsa Punset’s latest book, organized in collaboration with Librería Hipérbole.

It was a warm, human, and inspiring closing that allowed attendees to share a few minutes with Elsa following an unforgettable lecture.
