The magnificent facilities at Sa Coma are currently hosting a 10-hour training course for Ibiza Firefighters on “Heavy Vehicle Management in Accidents.”
A total of 60 firefighters are receiving this theoretical-practical training delivered by two specialist firefighter instructors collaborating with Emergency Staff, Javier Silva Ceballos and José Manuel González Polo, from last Monday through tomorrow, Thursday.
Divided into groups of 15 people to maximize learning outcomes, participants delve into subjects such as scene assessment, risk management, stabilization, and incident response from various accident dimensions—as well as from different response perspectives: command, rescue team, and medical personnel.
Firefighters learn about rescue wheel procedures in heavy vehicle accidents and entrapment levels across different heavy vehicles: buses, coaches, and trucks. These vehicles were provided by Autobuses Dipesa and Reciclajes Ca na Negreta. Dipesa has also made available to the firefighters the expertise of one of its employees throughout the four-day course, serving as an advisor on operation and the latest safety innovations currently incorporated in these vehicles.
En el sector del ocio, la formación continua es la mejor herramienta de prevención.
