Today, Monday September 7th at 10:00 AM, marked the opening of the 2020 Healthcare and Emergency Training Forum organized by Emergency Staff, hosted once again in Ibiza.
The opening presentation was attended by Santiago Marí representing the Consell de Ibiza, Aitor Morrás representing the Ibiza Town Council, and Juan Carlos Roselló, Councillor for Security of Santa Eulalia.

In his address, Santiago Marí congratulated the Forum’s organization for their work in developing these courses, which focus on multidisciplinary training for healthcare, social, and emergency staff. Aitor Morrás joined in the congratulations and emphasized the critical importance of the topics students will study during the forum, as they address real-world social problems: drug intoxications, chemical submission, violence, sexual violence, and numerous accident scenarios. For his part, Juan Carlos Roselló highlighted—in addition to joining in congratulations to Emergency Staff—how essential proper coordination among emergency teams is, encouraging students to engage deeply in learning these subjects throughout the training sessions.

The Forum’s inauguration was led by Patricia Fernández, Head of Communications and Coordinator of the 2020 Healthcare and Emergency Training Forum. In addition to thanking participating companies and sponsors—both those present and those unable to attend due to scheduling conflicts—she highlighted Emergency Staff’s hope that the Forum’s courses (Drug Intoxications, Control of Aggressive Persons and Hostile Areas, and Multidisciplinary Accident Intervention) equip healthcare, social, and emergency professionals with additional tools and capabilities for their daily work: “If recent months have proven anything, it is that your work is vital to the development of our society.”

The ceremony concluded with remarks from Training Director Andrés García, who welcomed the students of this year’s edition.
