A growing number of companies dedicated to raising awareness around cardiac arrest continuously join our cardioprotection project. Recent additions include the renowned Lío restaurant, Destino Hotel, and Pacha nightclub and hotel—Ibiza-based businesses that, as you may know if you read our August Magazine issue, have trained their employees in the BLS (Basic Life Support) course, certified by the Balearic Department of Health, where participants learn to operate a defibrillator alongside essential first aid concepts for high-risk situations.
Learning CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) techniques through both theoretical and practical instruction is a core component of this certified training. Although slight variations exist in course duration, materials, or curriculum depending on the autonomous region, the core concepts remain identical, as the overarching goal is to equip and train anyone—healthcare professional or layperson—in operating semi-automatic defibrillators and performing CPR techniques.
These courses are aimed at anyone over eighteen years of age interested in acquiring or updating first aid and CPR techniques, as well as learning to operate semi-automatic defibrillators. As authorized training providers, we register with the Department of Health all individuals who successfully complete both the theoretical and practical components of this course. Official certification requires passing a practical-theoretical assessment, yielding an official certificate valid for 3 years.
If you wish to complete this training either personally or for your company, do not hesitate to contact us.
