Ibiza, April 18, 2015
The Ibiza company Emergency Staff is organizing the 2nd Edition of the “BS Course: Joint Firefighter & Healthcare Staff Training”, featuring 30 professionals arriving from various parts of Spain and England.
This training is designed for doctors, nursing staff, and emergency medical technicians (EMTs), aimed at preparing these professionals for real-life traffic accidents, politrauma patients, fires, structural collapses, critical scenarios, and general emergencies.
This course began yesterday, April 17th, and will run through tomorrow, Sunday, April 19th. It features a brief theoretical section followed by an extensive practical phase that started today, Saturday, at 11:30 AM with a timed exercise traversing key points in Santa Eulalia—from the Palacio de Congresos to Puig de Missa, passing through the Promenade and Town Hall, where at 12:30 PM the first group conducted an open-street AED exercise. According to Andrés García, Training Director at Emergency Staff, the goal of this course is “to establish specific joint action protocols and knowledge between firefighters and healthcare personnel in critical, real-life scenarios.”
In the afternoon, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, three workshops will equip professionals with precise practical skills for emergency response. At night, actors will simulate highly realistic and high-stress scenarios for the participants.
