The third day of the Drug Intoxications in Nightlife Environments course, taking place within the 2020 Healthcare and Emergency Training Forum, focused on medical complications associated with drug intoxications. During Wednesday morning, Cosme Escoda Francolí, specialized physician and Emergency Staff instructor, trained students on this subject.
Wednesday afternoon was dedicated to sexual violence and chemical submission. Psychologist Eva Font Domènech focused on analyzing sexual assaults that take place in nightlife settings, as well as the use of chemical substances intended to manipulate a person’s will. Although this is not a recent phenomenon, it has gained increased prominence in recent years due to its association with sexual assaults, robberies, and other criminal practices.
