Trauma for first responders

Prehospital Trauma Life Support, First Responder – PHTLS-FR

Course Objectives

Assess the trauma patient following a systematic approach.
Apply hemorrhage control in initial scenarios.
Perform basic airway management.
Prioritize patient care and transport.
Apply the XABCDE protocol.
Train in practical skill stations, case studies, and simulations.
Integrate content adapted to the student’s profile, such as water rescue or mountain rescue.
